Godwin noted meeting Sir Philip Francis (1740–1818), politician and political writer (along with other whig supporters of Fox) in 1796, and the entries tie him to Lauderdale, Charles Grey, and Mary Robinson. There is also an entry in 1821, but this is not coded as it is some time after Francis's death.
Godwin also recorded his death - on the 22nd of December 1818.
