Godwin first meets George Tierney (1761-1830) at Lauderdale's and Debrett's in 1796 and most of the first contacts are at these venues. In 1798 he meets him with R Johnson (someone also associated withJohn Courtenay), and in 1799 and 1801 there are connections to Sheridan and Burdett. Godwin also records meeting Tierney on a number of occasions not associated with others.
