Unidentified. Addington is a personal acquaintance of Godwin’s and a 1797 letter from Godwin to Addington (no first name mentioned) reveals that there was some degree of upset with respect to Addington due to his dealings with Mrs Fenwick and Mrs Vaughan (a friend of Eliza Fenwick, who seems to have lost her husband, and who may have had some involvement in helping Godwin and Mary Wollstonecraft in the later stages of her pregnancy and in the aftermath of the birth. But the precise context is unclear. This seems to be the only existing correspondence between the two in the Abinger papers. The letter is noted in the penultimate Addington entry; and the last entry is an adv. There seems to have been no further communication.
Addington appears with groups comprised of family and friends, such as John Godwin, James Marshall, and William Reveley. The Fenwick letters to Mary Hays make no mention of him.
