  • Name: Willis, Nathaniel Parker
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 20  January  1806
  • Death Date: 20  January  1867

Willis spent time in Europe as a correspondent for New York papers, while also travelling widely and writing poetry. Godwin's entries in 1835 for 'Willis, poet' are likely to be to this man. The plain 'Willis' entries, at this time are also coded for the poet, on the grounds that Godwin In 1834 refers to Willis Am. (American) and the circles in which he meets Willis and Willis poet are identical in 1834-4, but not before.
