This is only a tentative identification, needs a second source
First refered to in the diary on 20 April 1810: 'walk, w. T T, to Dulwich College, Allen and Smith, librarian; dine; returning, call on Waldron, Camberwel.' Subsequent entries are often alongside booksellers.
There are 27 appearances, from 1810-15. We are unable to confirm identification as Francis Godolphin Waldron. Confusingly, there may be another Francis Godolphin Waldron. While this seems unlikely, there is a bookseller of this name on The British Book Trade Index, who went bankrupt in 1787. There is no reference to the actor/playwright working as a bookseller or going bankrupt on his DNB page - at this time he was acting at Drury Lane. So we currently have two candidates, of the same name, and no way of knowing which it is. Despite the liason between Waldron (the actor) and the actress Sarah Harlowe none of the calls feature Harlowe or Harlow.
