  • Name: Valpy, Abraham John
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 1787
  • Death Date: 19  November  1854
  • Occupation: classical scholar
  • Occupation: printer

Worked closely with George Dyer. The Life of Charles Lamb refers to him as James Valpy, but the connection made with Dyer and classical publishing makes it clear that is the same person. However, there is very little context in Godwin' diary to confirm the attribution of these entries to this person - it seems highly likely, but uncertain.
