  • Name: Sharp, Granville
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 10  November  1735
  • Death Date: 6  June  1813
  • Occupation: author
  • Occupation: slavery abolitionist

There is only one explicit reference to Granville Sharp in the diary. Were other 'Sharp' entries to Granville Sharp it seems likely they would have been distinguished in some way. There is an entry for 'Sharpe Gram.' at Horne Tooke's Trial in November 1794. It is possible that this in fact is to Sharpe Gran. On the other hand, we do know that William Sharp is at the trial and there is no mention of him in Godwin's list. This entry has accordingly been left uncoded.

See DNB entry for Granville Sharp (1735-1813), slavery abolitionist.
