  • Name: Scudamore, Sir Charles
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 1779
  • Death Date: 4  August  1849

Scudamore studied in London and Edinburgh, graduating MD in 1814 and shortly afterwards obtaining his license from the Royal College of Physicians. He was an expert on gout and practised mostly in London.

Godwin's first entry is to Sir C Scudamore. The frequency of the visits and the links to Mary Wollstonecraft-Shelley suggest that she had arranged for Scudamore to see her father.
