  • Name: Rosser, Henry (Blanche)
  • Gender: Male
  • Death Date: 10  July  1822

Godwin took on Henry Blanch Rosser as a pupil in 1817 and five years later on 10 July, at Sceaux, near Paris, 'his young pupil Henry Blanch Rosser died at Cambridge in circumstances reminiscent of the death of Patrickson in 1814.' (see St Clair). Rosser was described in The Examiner as the eldest son of Mr Rosser of Skinner Street, London.

Godwin sees Rosser on 9 May 'ppc' (for Rosser to take his leave). The next note in the diary (10 July 1822) refers to Rosser's death. There are then three entries for Rosser Senr - one within a week of Rosser's death, when Godwin calls on him; and two subsequent occasions in August where Rosser calls on Godwin. Rosser Senr is likely to be the partner in Warren and Roser, 5 Skinner Street, who sold Epsom Salts (advertised The Morning Chronicle , Wednesday, April 4, 1821).

Godwin records his death.
