Patrick Patrickson was a student that Godwin took an interest in and supported, arranging for him to attend Cambridge, with financial support from friends. While at Cambridge he was treated badly by other students and suffered from depression. He corresponded regularly with Godwin and visited him when in town. Finally, when back in Cambridge, he committed suicide. There is a single Patrickson recorded in 1796 which might be Patrickson's father but this has not been coded.
