Eminent dissenting theologian and minister. Lindsey operated from a chapel in Essex St, London which hosted the first Unitarian congregation when it opened in 1778. Lindsey was married thus the 'H Lindsey' that Godwin refers to in 1809 may be his widow Hannah (nee Elsworth) (1740–1812).
