Thomas Kearsley was a portrait painter who painted Godwin in 1794.
George Kearsley, a bookseller who published Cursory Strictures also appears in the diary (his father, also George, published Life of Chatham). However, given that Thomas is the Kearsley noted in the 1796 list of notable acquaintances (Godwin met him in 1793), almost all the Kearsleys have been coded as Thomas. There are two instances of Kearsley which can be identified as George - one associated with George Robinson, prior to 1793 and one associated with Cursory Strictures.
This table lists the people this person is most frequently noted with in the diary.
