Gregory seems a likely associate of Helen Maria Williams and her company. Also in the 1787 list with S. Rogers and Helen Maria Williams. After Andrew Kippis's death Gregory became the editor of the Biographia Britannica. In that role he would have mixed with literary circles a good deal, and on this basis we have coded later entries in the diary to Gregory as references to him until 1805. Many of the contacts are at Johnson's, Phillips, or Robinson's. The entries that begin after 1816 are to another Gregory.
