Graham, W. G. an American, who went to England at the age of seventeen, was sponsored by a chance benefactor through an education and Cambridge and left him a legacy on his death. He eventually returned to America having lost his fortune and he became a journalist for the newspaper The Enquirer. He was killed in a duel. The Times, 21 December 1827 and 25 December 1827. For some of these fifteen years he was studying in Cambridge and travelling on the continent. He also lived in London and worked as a parliamentary reporter. There is nothing to suggest that the Glasgow/Edinburgh entries refer to him and I don't think we have enough to link any of the plain Graham entries to him either. So, for now, only code his death. JG DOS COMMENT - Graham was also noted as one of the 'ablest theatre critics of the day'. Therefore it is possible that some of the entries of 1823 and 1824 may be to him. This is supposition but it does seem unlikely that Godwin would have noted his death unless he had met him. See The Times, 21 December 1827 and 25 December 1827.
