Most likely the brother of John Fenwick who supported Elizabeth Fenwick at various points when her marriage to John was failing. Thomas ran a linen drapery business in Penzance, which failed in 1803. There is then a suggestion of him being in Portsmouth, but by 1825 he seems to be living and working as a clothier and tailor in Limehouse, and later moved to Gravesend. We cannot be certain that the entries to T Fenwick, Limehouse are to John Fenwick's brother, but the evidence points to this and we have coded the entries accordingly. There is a suggestion that his eldest son was called Orlando and was born in 1822, and later emograted to Australia where he set up a linen business, eventually becoming Mayor of Melbourne. Butit may be that these papers actually skip a generation and that the Thomas Fenwick who dies in 1850 is a son of John Fenwick's brother, Thomas.
