  • Name: Dignum, Charles
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 1765
  • Death Date: 29  March  1827
  • Occupation: singer

This may be Charles Dignum, the singer. There are some links through Vauxhall, in the summers where Dignum was a regular performer, and some links to the theatre. Godwin attended the first London performance of Haydn's The Creation, in which Dignum took part. Dignum married in 1787, and his wife died in 1799, when there are no further instances of 'Dignums' (plural, hence incicating a couple). The main individual link seems to be through Ralph Fell.
