  • Name: Campbell, Dr Thomas
  • Gender: Male
  • Birth Date: 4  May  1733
  • Death Date: 20  June  1795
  • Occupation: clergyman
  • Occupation: traveller

Campbell was a Church of Ireland clergyman who made a number of trips to London and recorded his observations in a diary. This diary records his thoughts on Dr Johnson and his circle. He also published Philosophical Survey of the South of Ireland in a Series of Letters to John Watkinson, MD (1778) which was intended to improve the image of Ireland in British eyes.

This identification is speculative. The two contacts are in 1790, the first referring to Dr Tho. Campbell; the second shortly aftyer with Brand Hollis.
