Henry Beaufoy was a politician with a dissenting background who was at the forefront of the movement to repeal the Test & Corporation Acts 1887-1790. Like Godwin he was educated at Hoxton Academy by Andrew Kippis who, in 1786, writes Godwin a note introducing Beaufoy to him.
