Plato (6  April  1833) PlatoCharmides. Plato was born 429 B.C., died 347 B.C.; Charmides was written early in his career.
WG may have read Charmides in the following:
Platonis dialogi selecti … cura L.F. Heindorfii. (volume 1). 1802-10
WG cites the Charmides in Lives of the Necromancers (77); he reads Plato in the British Museum on this date.
